Susan in graduation gearYeah!!!! 2005 ULM GRADUATE!! I'm soooooo happy to be graduated, one of three top students university wide with a 4.0 gpa (See article). I got to stand and be recognized as a summa cum laude graduate and then again as one of the top students (See CBA article). Ken, Mom, Roy, Megan, Ron, Diane, David, and Lucie Ann were in the audience and Mom cried when they mentioned Dad and her as my parents. He would have been so proud! It was a great day. Here I am in graduation gear with honors cord, BGS cord, and Phi Kappa Phi medal.

I'm please to say that I am employed. (Though sometimes I wonder what was I thinking! It was kind of nice to be out of school and just messing around with no homework, deadlines, or reading.) Luckily, I really do like to work and be productive, so it's good to be a wage-earner again. I just recently developed the new website for the Controller's Office.

On the index page is a picture of my graduation present (though actually it was a car that both Ken and I wanted, so he drives it also, actually more than me). We had a great time visiting with family and celebrating, swimming, karaokeing, boating, etc. More pictures to come. (Still have to do these pictures -- there's not enough time to get everything done....)

In July we went to my 30-year high school class reunion!! (MHHS) Where has the time gone? We had a great time, and stayed at Gaston's. That's a beautiful resort! Hard to believe that I finally got an undergraduate degree -- 30 years after high school. Now that's a classic case of procrastination if I've ever heard of one! It was interesting to see how everyone turned out, not that I was part of the in-crowd in any school I ever attended, and we moved just three years before I graduated, but it was fun, and I did know quite a few of the people. Only wish my few best friends from high school had been able to make it.

Have to mention one of my new hobbies, which is KARAOKE. I love it and it's so addictive!! No doubt it reminds my family of when I was growing up, and driving them crazy with my singing around the house. My brothers threatened to disown me at the time. I bought my own machine and enjoy it myself. Ken claims that he never signed on for karaoke, but is weathering it very good naturedly. (He said he knew about the dogs, cars, motorcycles, etc., but not this. Funny!)

Blessings!

In my new office, studying for class
